For anyone who cares about photography, the first section of pictures were taken with my point-and-shoot camera while Mom and I were walking. The bigger ones were obviously taken with my SLR, and I did have to adjust quite a few of them in Photoshop because I discovered in my practice photo session that I definitely tend to over-expose my pictures while shooting on manual! I have lots to work on!

Lake Shawnee
A few weeks ago my mom and I went for our long weekend training walk around Lake Shawnee. I immediately fell in love with the botanical garden area and vowed that next time we went to walk there I would bring my good camera. After our 15 mile walk (twice around the lake) late last month I grabbed the camera from my car and spent what seemed like an hour taking pictures of the flowers and beautiful scenery there. It was partially a photo session for me to practice shooting with the camera on manual, and partially a photo session to show how pretty the area is! Hopefully you can see the beauty despite my questionable photography skills!
