We met Danny 8 or 9 years ago when Chad started playing softball on his brother's team, of which Dan was a member. A few years later he and Robyn started dating, which was about the time we all started playing co-ed softball as well. We've been one big softball family ever since.
We worried about Robyn and Dan's wedding ceremony all week because it was an outside celebration, and we've had record amounts of rain in the last couple of weeks. It had rained every day since last Wednesday, and it rained hard the day before the wedding. It rained off and on Saturday morning, but Robyn had faith that it would all work out in the end and they went ahead with the outside wedding plans. The rain held off for a couple of hours before the wedding and through most of the ceremony, with only a few sprinkles dropping right near the end. Once the guests were all safely under the reception tent, the rain started coming down pretty hard. They even ended up taking some of the wedding pictures in the rain! It continued to rain all night, but the wonderful thing about the rain was that when you combined it with a spectacular sunset, it created an amazing rainbow!! How cool is it that they had a beautiful rainbow at their wedding!
Despite the fact that we all got a little wet and had to slosh through a lot of mud puddles to and from the tent all evening, we had such a wonderful time at the wedding and reception. It was so great not just because we loved celebrating this day with Robyn and Dan, but also because so many of our other friends were there as well! So many times you go to a wedding and you know just a small group of the guests, but on Saturday we knew like half the people in attendance! We got to see a few friends we hadn't seen in forever and just had a really terrific time hanging out, eating great food and dancing. I even got Chad on the dance floor a couple of times! :) It was a blast! Here are some pictures of the night if you're interested!
Congrats Danny and Robyn! May you have a lifetime of happiness together!

As I recall, you were dancing. I was awkwardly swaying - out of time - to the music.
that actually sounds hard core romantic...if it's gonna rain and you make the best of it you're pretty cool peeps :)
