Today Hope received her second chemotherapy injection, and we also received some positive news. The vet had informed us that there was only a 50/50 chance that her tumor would respond to chemo, and it appears that we've won the coin toss! Dr. Heeb was very pleased with the cancer's response to the treatment so far, and termed her cancer in "partial remission." While this sounds a little better than it really is, it's still great news!We will continue to pray that the tumor keeps shrinking as we wait for her third treatment next Wednesday. If there is additional improvement after the fourth treatment, we may be able to revisit the surgery option to remove any remaining cancer cells.
